CSI Partners with Harris Connect to Produce Alumni Publication College of Staten Island Partners with Harris Connect to Produce Alumni Publication
College of Staten Island/CUNY grads change emails, jobs and locations so often that it is hard to keep up with them. The school has contracted with Harris Connect to update contact information for all alumni around the world so that they can keep up-to-date on news and activities from campus. Harris will also help produce a beautiful hardcover publication that will allow alumni find their old friends and be used for personal and professional networking.

CSI Associate Professor of Psychology Sarah Berger has won a coveted Fulbright scholarship to work abroad examining how locomotor development in infancy affects other types of development taking place at the same time.

Haunting the Korean Diaspora has recently won an award from the American Sociological Association. A book by Grace M. Cho, Associate Professor of Sociology, Anthropology and Women’s Studies at CSI, has been selected by the American Sociological Association to receive this year’s award for best book on the subject of Asia and Asian America.

CSI has won NYC's Distinguished Award in Service for its impressive showing in the College Challenge CSI has won New York City’s “Distinguished Award in Service,” in recognition of its impressive showing in the city’s first College Challenge. The Challenge was a four-month event in which 18 NYC colleges and universities strove to amass as many volunteer hours of community service time as possible against their own pre-set goals.

Supporters of Here and There trumpet the film’s merits in New York City’s Washington Square Park. CSI Alumnus George Lekovic (BA, Media Studies, ‘04) is the main producer of Here and There, an award-winning film with parallels to his life. The movie recently finished brief runs at the Quad Theatre in Manhattan and Laemmle’s Music Hall in Los Angeles and is booked in 15 to 30 other cities.
